Makkinga's Mölle
OmmenIn 1824 the mill received its present location in Ommen. The mill is currently owned by municipality of Ommen.
Mill Makkinga's Mölle comes from the Zaan region and features the distinctive wooden base. The mill is hexagonal. The mill was first moved from the Zaan region to Deventer. In 1824, the mill was given its current location in Ommen. The sails have a flight of 18.40 meters. In 1999 the mill was made millable again. The mill houses a regional museum and a toll house.
