Theater performance Kobes

theatre

KOBES tells the - partly true - story of KOBES: the Vriezenveen barber who came to stir things up in 'n Ham, but also the story of a village that had to wait and see. Of the great sorrow of 1955. And the story of help that sometimes comes from very unexpected places.

Den Ham, 1975. Hairdresser Kobes is busy. While his customers wait in vain for their haircuts, Kobes is occupied with very different matters: the revue in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Juliana Music Association! Music sounds from the houses, Hammen people lug sets and children practice with their batons. It will be a meracular spectacle!

The German Seppe is also present. Just as he enters the village with his Beetle, neighbor Grupjan shuts everything down. Why exactly does this neighbor, who was himself a member of the music society for years, not want the revue to go on? What happened between him and Kobes? And what does the youth choir's trip to Germany in 1955 have to do with it?
