Between songs, we get a picture of Cornelis' turbulent life. The troubadour who was known for his provocative songs, was a mischievous womanizer and Burgundian. In Holland, as well as in Sweden, he had great successes with Veronica, Bakker de Baksteen and, of course, Nozem en de Non, among others. In 1987 he died in Sweden at the age of 50. Cornelis never pretended to be better than he was. He just made songs that people liked, that they could laugh at, but also to think about. A beautiful evening of music with happy anecdotes.
