March is all about the Lower Saxon dialect. Library Salland and the Working Group Regional Language of the Cultural Historical Center Ommen therefore organize the Dialect Quiz on Monday, March 16 at 19:30. This year's theme is "fooling around.
During this evening, it is not only about language sense, but mostly about conviviality. Are you distracted by all the answer options? Or do you trust your gut feeling? Everyone can participate, whether you are fluent in dialect or just curious about typical words and expressions from our region.
Ommen resident Alex Schuurman recites a specially written text. It does not matter whether you immediately tick the right answer during his story, or whether you cleverly use the context. In the end everyone goes home with more knowledge and a nice experience.
With the Dialect Quiz the Salland Library and the Working Group Regional Language together give extra attention to our beautiful Low Saxon regional language. It promises to be an evening full of recognition, humor and language fun.
This evening is free to attend and you do not have to be a member of the library. Tickets for the quiz are available during service hours in Ommen Library and via the website.
