Lifestyle store Schatkamer & Co opened today at Strangeweg 17 in Ommen, in the same building ribbon as parent organization thrift foundation Noggus&Noggus. The opening was performed by Alderman Bert Boerman of the Municipality of Ommen, in the presence of guests from the social and sustainable domain, cooperation partners and employees and volunteers of the thrift organization.

Circular inspiration store with social goals
The new location is the continuation of De Schatkamer, which until recently was located in the center of Ommen. The approximately 450-square-meter building has space for reuse of clothing and interior design, artisanal Atelier Noggus, a plant shelter and a coffee corner. In addition, the location will be used for social and circular activities, such as workshops and language classes.
Social thinking, sustainable action
According to manager Bernardien Brinkhuis of Noggus&Noggus in Ommen, the new place shows well what the organization stands for: "Here people work and learn together on recycling and craftsmanship. It is a place where we show how value is re-created by thinking socially and doing sustainably."
The official opening today underscores the importance of initiatives that contribute to sustainability and social connection in the municipality of Ommen. With Treasure House & Co, The Treasure House will have a new home base that matches the ambitions of both the organization and the municipality.
