During Children's Book Week (October 1 to 12, 2025), Salland Library is organizing free adventurous activities for children ages 6 to 12. For example, children can organize their own reading party or have their picture taken with their favorite book!

This year's Children's Book Week is all about "Full of Adventure! From a scavenger hunt through the library to book tips and fun activities, there is plenty to do.
Photo adventure in the library
Stop by one of the Salland Library branches and have your picture taken with your favorite book! A special photo frame will be available in the library. The best photo submitted will win a VIP package for the performance Smaakspoken, including a copy of the book and a meet & greet with Daan Faber and Gerson.
Give your own reading party
Stories become even more fun when you share them. Organize your own reading party at a special place; at home, at school, in a tree house or even at a secret location in the neighborhood. On the Salland Library website, children can sign up and pick up a reading bag to complete the party. The best party submitted wins an unforgettable prize: laser gaming among the book shelves with the whole class!
