Balmy summer evenings, sounds dancing through the streets, and squares filled with conviviality... Yes, it's that time of year again: the music evenings of the Ommer Bissingh are coming!

Every Wednesday evening during the summer vacations, the center of Ommen turns into a stage full of atmosphere. From the Markt to the Kerkplein, and of course the Varsenerpoort; everywhere music sounds, people dance and toast.

The Market is known for its banging performances, and this year it will be no less: from Bökkers and BTMS to the "big canteen night" with Ruben & Joep, among others- it will be 6 high-level parties again. On the Kerkplein it is a bit more relaxed, with fine bands and nice acoustic sounds. Perfect to catch your breath ... or just to continue drinking. And at the Varsenerpoort? That's where the dancing starts every week. Think: exciting beats and guaranteed sore muscles the next morning.

Bissingh: a tradition with a party

For those not yet familiar with the Ommer Bissingh: it is much more than just another fair or event. This week of festivities has deep roots in the history of Ommen. Once started as a farmers' fair - a moment when you just exchanged the stable for the city - it has now grown into a week full of events, markets, children's spectacle and therefore: music! The music evenings of will take place on the following Wednesdays: July 16, July 23, July 30, August 6, August 13 and August 20. Starting at 9 p.m., the party will burst into life at several locations downtown. The entrance? Just free of course.
