During the Palingrokerij, up to twenty eel smokers from the Netherlands compete for the coveted Bissingh trophy. A seven-member jury will judge the eels submitted. Various demonstrations will also be on display.

During the more for men day, Ommen will be transformed into a giant showroom. Various cars are displayed throughout the center. This year the More for Men day will be all about the convertible and the fattest.

Every year the Flater Pret Orkest, in cooperation with the Ommer Bissingh, organizes the Bissingh Wind Orchestra Festival Ommen. A two-day festival, in the first full weekend of September, where you get to play on one or both days in the beautiful center of Ommen. For each day, a winner is chosen by the audience.
